Use this phrase when cycling, walking, running and even driving! If you see a driver ignoring the safeguard of pedestrians or cyclists, kindly remind them to hit your brakes not people!
@hifi.wifeeye coined the HYBNP phrase in the winter of 2017. As an urban commuter and adventure cyclist, her need to be seen is mandatory. She needed a statement that could effectively stop drivers in their tracks and make them think about her position on the streets -- directly in harms way. The city streets of Los Angeles are wild with posted speed limits averaging 35MPH; giving drivers the ability to speed past 45+MPH without even being noticed by the police. Reflectivity is necessary in this city as well as any other city that puts vehicles above pedestrians and cyclists.
Stay seen, stay safe!
