I Purchased 2 Buoy Bags to help me carry gear and supplies for an unsupported 4-day bikepacking trip through the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, U.S. Using cargo cages I mounted one on my bike's fork, the other on my downtube. One bag carried my clothes, the other carried all my food supplies.
These bags are amazing. Despite the dirt, mud, gravel and pouring rain, they kept everything inside clean, dry and protected. Because of bear sightings, I used one of the bags to hang up all my food and food waste each night in a tree. I credit the Buoy Bag for keeping curious and hungry bears away from my campsites. This bag is so tough I bet the bag could have survived a hungry bear but luckily it didn't come to that.
One night after making camp, a huge wind and rain storm rolled through. My bags were outside the tent and fully exposed to the pouring rain all night. We were all soaked and shivering by the next morning. The bag kept its contents dry and being able to change into clean, dry clothes was worth every penny.
